First Relationship in Recovery

No relationships for the first year. Well, I waited four! My first date and it went pretty far, pretty fast, if you catch my drift. It has been a while and things were awkward and not working as well as they used to. But she was very patient and we kept it fun. Can't wait to talk to my sponsor tonight. In truth, you won't learn much about relationships if you avoid them.

Speaking for myself, my own inventory revealed that it would be better for me to get to know someone before hopping into bed with them in stead of hopping in to bed with them and then getting to know them. That's how I used to do things, and I doubt it would work any better today than it did then. But that's just me.
