What has been the most inspiring moments in your recovery?

there have been so many for me..but one in particular comes to mind...i was at a women's campout. we had 40 or 50 women sitting around a campfire for a meeting. It was the first time I became aware of the awesome power of love and support in a group of women. and it was real, extremely palpable. I was one little speck in the universe yet one little speck amongst a tremendously powerful group. Small and insignificant alone...but one within a revolutionary fellowship

I think the first meeting I went to. I finally found people who understood me and I understood them. I was not alone anymore.

My most inspiring moment came when I realized that it wasn't my husband's fault I drank to the point I drank to, it was my choice, my action, my issue. All of the dysfunction, all the comments became mine as soon as I chose to hold on to them. At that point, I chose to numb and lose control, not my husband. I'm on my own path, with my own baggage.

Thanks for a great question!
