God With Us
With him is an arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God, to help us and to fight our battles. (from 2Ch 32:8)

Jehovah, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ is with all of us who have been born again of his Spirit. As God was with Hezekiah king of Judah, even more so is he with us who believe in the King of kings- Jesus, the Lord of all lords, the living Word of God, our Savior- the only begotten Son of God.
Jerusalem, a city for God's peace, was under attack by the king of Assyria. So also, we who are called to let the peace of God rule in our hearts are assaulted by Satan. This prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the disobedient, taunts and ridicules to discourage us.
Be strong in hope that will not disappoint. Don't be afraid though a horde comes against us- especially in our thoughts. Our Father helps all of us who have trusted in Jesus our good Shepherd. In him we trust with thanksgiving and find protection for our heart and mind. Do not be afraid or dismayed.
The body they may kill
God's truth abideth still,
His kingdom is forever.
One angel cut off all the mighty warriors and commanders and officers in the camp of the king of Assyria. (see 2Ch 32:21) One Word has cut off the power of Satan.
God in the flesh, Jesus Christ our Lord, has been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you. (Jam 4:10 ) Let's pray.
Heavenly Father, thank you for sending Jesus that we would trust in your salvation. Thank you for being for us, who can be against us? Let me put my trust in you when things are difficult and when the taunts of the enemy come upon me.
Thank you for your grace that saves me- the gift of life in Jesus that I could never earn. Let me trust in you and rejoice in the name of Jesus. Let me be slow to speak and quick to listen. Help me to humble myself in the service of sharing your love. Amen.
Today's very great and precious promise
