I am a newbie and an oldie. I once was sober for three years but now I cant go three weeks. I have no control over my sickness. Its killing me slowly. Its tearing my family apart. Its effecting my job. I hope that I can stick with this website and find the peace of mind I once knew. I live in a country where meetings are scarce and another language is spoken. I'm about at the end of my rope. I feel like just giving up. Why be cursed with a sickness such as this?

I'm Kai, I'm an alcoholic.

Due to some health problems I am having, I am not able to make it to many meetings these days. This site saves my life. It's available 24 hours a day and covers just about everything. Keep coming back.

Hey taste, glad you are here and reaching out. Please make use of the links that Tammy posted and continue to share with us here at the board. When i hit my bottom in my addiction it was then i turned around and became willing to go to any length to get and stay sober. I found my help through the 12-step program and God in my life. I have relapsed also. You show courage in coming back. Take things a day at a time or 5 minutes at a time to not pick up. :94:
