Well- Hi, everyone,

New to recovery here. I am scared and still not entirely convinced about doing this forever- I guess that's why it's one day at a time. I never drank beyond control, or had blackouts, but 3 days in a row last week I had shakes at the same time in the afternoon. I thank God for such a gentle wake up call... I was doing a lot of daily drinking but because of what I do for a living I was always able to maintain up to a point. I don't think that means I have any less of a problem.

So- that's me, and I'm glad you all are here.

:67: sunrise! :17: Glad to have you join us here. We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time. Sometimes we might have to break that down into minutes and seconds. We don't have to do it alone anymore. We help each other through. Please make yourself at home here. Feel free to ask any questions you may have and to share with us. If you haven't yet, I suggest try making a meeting. There are also some online meetings here http://www.cyberrecovery.net/forums/chat_mainpage.php . You can check the meeting schedule http://www.cyberrecovery.net/forums/chatmeet.php for times. I look forward to hearing more from you. Keep coming back. :42:

It doesn't get any better once you start getting the shakes, my friend. Welcome! I'm glad that you are here! :256:

Well, I am still here... I am finding myself profoundly depressed and not getting anything done. Right now it would be awesome to sink into a bottle of sake and just fuzz out. I won't- - I'll probably go eat something instead- - but man, I gotta make some calls tomorrow. Can't do this too many more days.
