Our Family

I pray the new year is finding all of you well and in
God's will!
How blessed we are for family
to share our heavy loads,
to live and love and laugh with
as we walk along this road.
How blessed we are for family
when times get hard and rough,
when life beats down upon us
and we don't feel like enough.
They build us up and nurture us
tell us it will be ok,
that's why I thank God for the family
I've found here in N.A.
We come in lost and broken
our dreams are all but gone.
We find a place where hope is
to build new dreams upon.
We find a loving fellowship
to hold us while we cry,
who share the painful memories
of the wreckage in our lives.
They know all about the chaos
brought on by using dope,
and show us in our darkest hour
a gleaming ray of hope.
I'm so grateful for this family
that I've found in these rooms;
you've brought me from complete despair
and a hopeless sense of doom,
to a place where I have found some peace
some serenity in my life,
that's why I thank God for my family
before I go to bed each night.
