Hi and welcome!:1: You're doing something right by coming into the rooms now and if you are straight and sober today. I just kind of cruise various areas of this site and see what interests me, of which there is a lot. Recovery takes time, but just one day at a time. Keep coming back in here and keep going to your face to face meetings. Things will change!:17:

You are doing right by coming here and sharing with us. Most of us relapsed when we decided to clean up ourselves, however, just knowing that you want to get better will help you with your new journey in life. Grab a hold of the gift of being clean, because it is the best gift you can receive. Just remember, you really need to seperate from places, peoples, or other triggers that might cause you to slip and that is not an easy thing to do. I ran from everyone and moved away from where I was living and if I did not disappear from those that I partied with, I don't think that I would be where I am today. Being clean is such an easier way of life. Yeah, you have to work hard on it, but it is even harder when you have to search for that fix. I don't miss that part at all. The waiting game and the stress of being able to afford your habit is like having three full time jobs but ending up with no money. Hard way to live. Addiction just plain stinks and is a very tiring way to live. Time goes by faster then we realize it so remember that. We have but one life to live, ups and downs, but still alive.
Have a safe 24.

?? Dunno what happened to what I wrote in the above post...??
Anyway, Welcome PFlow, glad you made it back. Hope that you are back at meetings, reading the literature and talking to your sponsor. We can do anything, one day at a time.

Welcome and keep coming back. Before we came into the program, falling down in life was failure. Today, it is an opportunity to learn and grow, and (God forbid) ask for help. None of us were created perfect, but when we bring our gifts and strengths together, God's perfect will is possible.
Love ya later. :146:
