The Lord Be With You
Where could I go to escape from you? Where could I get away from your presence? If I went up to heaven, you would be there; if I lay down in the world of the dead, you would be there. If I flew away beyond the east or lived in the farthest place in the west, you would be there to lead me, you would be there to help me. -- Psalm 139:7-10
Wishing the Lord's presence to be with someone is the most beautiful wish we can give to another person. It is a wish, however, that is always fulfilled even before we ask. The Lord's presence is constantly with all of us, no matter where we go. All that is needed is our awareness of the one who is already with us.
Whether this day brings joy or sorrow, success or failure, the Lord is with you to walk beside you in his love. And if you become too tired, the Lord will carry you, accomplishing in you what you cannot do by yourself. Knowing that you are never left alone in your life, you can face each day with courage and trust. Whatever happens this day, God is with you.
Lord, your presence is my hope and my delight. May I never stop being grateful for who you are, and for what you accomplish within me.
