A Quest

I started on a journey
Not so long ago;
I’m not sure where I’m going--
Only my Higher Power knows.

The way this travel takes me,
I am not really sure--
I put my faith and trust in God;
I know he keeps me pure.

The coming days are filled with tests,
The answers are unclear--
My trust in God will keep me strong
On this rough and bumpy road.

To help me keep my focus
And not take on too big a load

This journey that I’m on
This way for a better life
Is the only way for me to go
For a happier, saner life.

I started on a journey
Not so long ago
I’m not sure where I’m going
But when I get there
You’ll be the first to know.

On this day I can accept myself
My journey’s just begun.
