Descend to us, we pray

Be born in us today!

Holy Spirit of our Living God. . .
Breathe the gift of your Light upon this world today . . .
Let us behold Your Light
Let us proclaim His worth!
Let the people sing a new song
Let them shout for joy
It's the coming of the Light!
He is God with us!
He is Wonderful, Counselor,
The Mighty God,
The Everlasting Father,
The Prince of Peace!
O come to us, Promise of God!

Shine upon Your people who are lost beneath the bitter
sky of this world -- pour forth the goodness of Your Light, and take away our darkness.
O come to us, abide with us, our Lord Emmanuel.
