Around Him
Looking about at those who were sitting around Him, He said, "Behold My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of God, he is My brother and sister and mother." (Mark 3:34-35)

The ones who do God's will are you who find your rest, your very life, in the Lord's presence. And look at the Lord Jesus- totally confident that you who sit with Him are His family.
Now risen and exalted keeps your very life. God has raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. (Eph 2:6) And He comes to you there by the comfort of His Spirit. We don't try to figure out such a wonder, we rejoice in it.
In truth this is the will of God so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. (Eph 2:7) Whether in the valley of trials and death, or in the mountains of refreshment, you look to Him- Jesus your life. Let's pray.
Lord Jesus, thank you for being with me. You know all my ways, all my stumbling and failings, and you care for every detail. Help me to trust you with each and every thing, to rest in you, and follow you.
O that I would be filled with Your Spirit. You are wonderful, You are the satisfaction. Help me to sit at Your feet and look to You- what a relief to know this is Your will. You are my joy.
Today's very great and precious promise
"Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful." (John 14:27)
We have God's Word on it.
