my sponsor has cancer. It was breast cancer. It was getting wors and they were giving her about 5 years i think. Yesterday i talked to her and it has progressed. It is now in her brain and they are saying now she may have a year, or as little as a month. She told me she is tired of the chemo. Please pray for her. This is hard

Shes on my list!
We have a close freind here in Canada that keeps getting
more cancer the more surgery they do.

Henry, her name is Leigh.
found out today that she also has cancer in her liver, and spine. She will probably be moving in with her daughter this week. Hospice will probably most likely called in this week. Please pray for her daughter also. Her name is Brandy

Hi Janbear,
I just found this thread here. I am so sorry to hear this.
I had cancer in my lymphnodes a few years ago. I thought I was a gonner. The chemo/radiation worked in my case. It was a new style where they extracted a blood protien, made it radioactive, put it back into my system to search out and attack only the cancer.
When I was facing death at first I was afraid. It is hard on everybody.
What I learned from all that was a better way to talk to others about what is going on inside them.
I am holding thoughts of you and your sponsor's situation and your sponsor's family. I hope and pray the best for all of you to get through this. Please keep in touch and feel free to send me a private message if you need to talk about it. This is one of those times when we need our extended AA family the most.
