hello all
my name is David ,I am an alcoholic.
I remember in 1993,I was existing on the streets of cape town.
I can still feel those days,watching the joggers in their nike shorts and sunglasses running on the marine parade, the smell of fresh percolating coffee and grilled bacon,fresh bread reminding me of previous times when I was part of that society.
I wanted to reach out and tell them that I was also a runner,I was also a holiday maker,but they didn't see me,they didn't know who I had been.
All I wanted was a litre of cheap wine and oblivion, but I had no money,no access to a credit card,no hotel tab,7 am in the morning on a bench,staring
out to sea.
It's Monday morning here in Johannesburg and I am a member of alcoholics anonymous.The miracle continues.
