Does anyone know if Narcotics Annonymous lititure talks about grave emotional and mental disorders? I know many people who suffer from this kind of stuff. I know A.A talks about it!!! These people suffer much much more than the regular addict. It would be nice if they were noticed and not judged. These people are dying and the Symbol says that any addict seeking recovery should not die. I feel in my heart that every sponsor should have a idea of what they go through daily. Medication changes things drastically for people. I bet most of the people who are diagnosised with a Dual problem. Don't make it. I know they slip through many cracks. Please reply to me. I love Narcotics Annonyous I am making it now. But I hurt cause at my worst time no one seemed to know what I was going through. I dont think it is good to be ignorant.

The NA Basic Text doesn't use those exact words but it does talk about the insanity and emotional distress caused to all, the afflicted family friends etc.. They are inexpensive and can be purchased at your local meeting or online at na.org
I find it easier reading than the Big Book, not to say there is anything wrong with the Big Book but I can relate easier to the NA Basic Text being from my particular set of circustamces.

Frogger,Some of the new literature from WSO-World Service Office has been written about medications,I think you would fall under that definition. If you are mentally ill you should be treated like anyone else with open arms and welcome in the fellowship.
