Aloha, I am a former NA member but it has been awhile. I had seven years no alcohol and 12 years no extracurricular - about two years ago I moved to Houston and it has been quite a blur.

I have tried repeatedly over this time to get clean. Only to relapse at about six weeks.

I cannot do this alone. Bummer :)

Today is day one. This is the first time (since I moved here) that I have reached out to fellow addicts.

Crossing my fingers and trying to let go.

Welcome, Dawnpatrol! Thank God you've made it back. I relapsed after nearly 18 years because I stopped going to meetings. Stayed out two years in absolute misery. I now have 16 months. I got a sponsor in my first week back, and go to many, many meetings. Things have gotten much, much better. Remember, it's one day at a time. Try to make a meeting today, and please keep reaching out for help.
