Accept the things I cannot change; the plane has been delayed from Perth to the mine site here by 2 hours.....well, not a thing I can do to change that!!!!
Have courage to change the things I can; well normally I would have been a)dismayed, b)annoyed, c) probably ended up rather hot about it all........well, this i could change and didn't even have to think about; I'm back in my room with the lap top, enjoying my time!

Hi Felicity, In my drinking days I would of went right to the bar. When these things happen today I feel that my H.P. has other plans for me. Like when you here about a accident happening and there always someone who would of been there if they had not been delayed by some thing or another. It's great that you are handling these things and applying the program and sharing it with us.

well Prescott, funny you should mention that; (going straight to the bar), we were held up even longer when it was actually time to leave, we have to bus it for 15mins. to the airstrip, we sat for 10 mins. in the bus waiting for those that had gone to the bar to wait their time, there were 4 from my normal crew, all come off night shift a 6am and by 10am they were pretty messy!!, two others whom I had had my binge with 3 weeks ago were absolutely "smashed", they'd been at it from day shift at the end of the day prior and I took a good hard look at them and remembered how I'd felt getting on the plane last time and I so did not envy them one bit, I felt grateful to be flying home clean and refreshed!!! One of them even forgot her bag...lot's of laughter at that but again I'm glad it wasn't me!!!....so yes I saw some more positivity; not from judging, just from observing!!!

Thank's for your encouragement all!!!

Laughter...always the best medicine...during my first week of sobriety, when my partner and I had also separated I found myself sleeping on the couch, two mornings in a row I awoke to a favourite commedy show on pay tv and it so helped me start the day!!!

yes, it's good value isn't it... sometimes I have trouble finding enough of it!!! I had a discussion with my d&a counsellor re the things I read and watch...i read a lot of crime, quite graffic and have watched a lot of similar things....can't say I enjoy watching women being beaten and raped however have always been very drawn to that sort of thing. I have begun reading something a little more lighthearted and am making an effort to balance my tv viewing, I think too much of the other can impact greatly upon my dreams and hence my mentality sometimes.

thank's for the hug, sending some in return and you keep up the good work too!!!! ((((((((((((((((()))))))))))))))))
