Seek the Lord and live.
Amos 5:8
At five o’clock in the morning I am often standing out on the lawn in my bedroom slippers, my face unshaven and my hair tangled from sleep. I am getting in touch with God. In the clean morning air, the ebony sky is ablaze with other worlds. With a pair of powerful binoculars I roam through the Milky Way, stop by the planets and finally peer into the moon’s craters.
"You seem very happy," my wife notes at breakfast.
I smile like someone with a secret. "Yes, I am. I feel good. I just took a little trip." I glance at the binoculars on the counter, and she gets that knowing look.
Are you dreading this day’s confusion and complications? Perhaps you need to take a few minutes to look up at the God of order. If He can keep the heavens untangled, then surely he can guide you through rush-hour traffic and a crowded agenda.
