I am here because I am an alcoholic and drug addict in recovery. I am also in Alanon and Naranon. Also I am here to be of service to God and to others. I am here to give back what has been given me - to help others.

I'm here because I am a spiritually lonely recovering alcoholic. Perhaps not lonely all of the time, but often enough to search for places like this to get uplifted and guided. It's a great day to be sober!:1:

Great question Tammy :1: I am here because i want to recover from a seemingly hopeless disease of addiction to alcohol and drugs. I can do that today through the use of the 12 step program, the Lord, and helping others. There is hope

The question of "why am I here" did not state the specification of one's earthly purpose of b eing here. Or here, meanig the reading and writing at the cyber recovery fellowship. For me,succinctly, chronic alcoholism was a lonely existence. In addition to a tough sponsor, working the 12 steps,a higher power/personal God;this fourth ingredient is crucial to aiding me in my personal recovery. That entity is the fellowship of AA. The most important word of all the 12 steps is the first word of step one. "WE". I get DRUNK: and "WE" stay sober!

Here on this planet in this body at this time? To be of maximum service to God and to others. Here at Cyber Recovery? Same reason. :15:

I am here in recovery because I don't want to be a slave to alcohol. I am here because I don't want to lose everything and have to start over like how my father did. I am here because I owe my 2 little girls a good example because to them I am what it means to be a woman.

I am also here because I want to be helpful to others. I am here because the Lord has a purpose for my disease - He did not cause it but it is it is part of His plan for me and so I have the responsibility to use my pain in a constructive way.

I am here at Cyberrecovery because you all are my family :D

I am here because I was lost out there on my own. I am here because I need God's help, through you, to stay on the right track and headed in the right direction. I am here because this is where God has lead me. I am here, in recovery, because this is home.

:11:Why I am here? I am here because I am an addit. My life was control by drugs in one from or another. I did not know how to live life on lifes trems and I found myself in a lonely dark hole. I could not make out of that dark hole on my own. I did not like myself. Through GOD working with others I did find a better way for me to live life on lifes trems. Going to meetings sharing with others, working the 12steps with a sponsor and others, doing service work prayer and medtation and being responsible for myself THANK GOD! Cyber Recovery is new to me but I do like it. I seem to like typing in my thouhts it seems to help gather them another tool for me to use. THANK YOU!

Hi,

I'm here because there is healing and power in the company of fellowship. I like fellowship, I like sincere people thinking about, :162: and talking about, healthy things. It's restful comunion.:29:

I am here for one because I was lead to the room by my Higher Power, the reason for that is none of my concern, God will use me as he sees fit to do so. I stay because I was a walking corpse feeding off the world giving nothing in return, when I came in I got the gift of hope that any addict can stop using, and find a new way to live. I serve so that no addict seeking recovery need die with out hearing our message of recovery, and feel the same hope that I have felt.:12:

I am here to share my experience. If sharing my experience helps someone else recover from making the same mistakes I have, then sharing my experience was worth it. Come to think of it, sharing my experience is worth it, even if nobody benefits except me.

Peace.

By looking at all of the responses to the question, "Why are you here?", we can find a common denominator emerging. Having this common denominator is what binds us together as a group.

Peace.
