Keep Coming Back......
Today I have a little more hope.
Another day sober and that's no joke.
Keep coming back, that's what they tell me.
Will I ever get this program of we?
They say take it easy, it isn't a race.
I want what they have, that glow in her face.
One day at a time, that's what I hear.
But why is there still so much fear?
Why is it so hard to let go, of the life I've grown to know?
Stay out of my head, that's what they've all said.
Let go and let God, trust in what I can't see?
These are the tools that are laid before me.
Keep it simple, give it a chance.
I've been driven to AA by circumstance.
Am I ready to climb the steps to be free?
Honesty, Open-mindedness and Willingness, aren't those the keys?
Meditate and pray, each and everyday.
Isn't that what Bill W. would say?
