Just admitting that I'm an addict
is an easy thing to do,
but accepting that I'm powerless
is a concept that's quite new.
I'd always believed I remained in control
of, at least most things around me,
but the chaotic insanity had grown so much,
that even I could see...
That I was not.
Also, I'd blamed the rest of the world
for all of the wrongs that turned up in my life;
everything that I had lost: money, jobs,
friends, my wife.
But its not the world, the dope, or even the booze
that have to take the blame,
it's this giant problem I've found I have--
