i'm bill an alcoholic
the above wording is for me it helps me to focus on my place in this word. i began a new life, or a new way of living when i walked through the doors of AA. I did'nt know what to expect, all i knew
was way my life was going no where and death had become very attractive to me.
as i started my journey in AA. it soon became apparent to me what i
thought i knew about life was not very much. I had become a controller,
a liar, a thief, it was what could i get out of this world not what i put in, i
was very self centered and selfish .learnig these things about me was not very good for my ego,( i'm pleased to say) i accepted these things about me and moved on, i drew a line under my past life and began aknew.
i accepted i was powerless, i came to believe i could get what was on offer. and began a knew begining , thus starting my journey into recovery.
love in recovery BILL lol ok grin hug hug

Hello Bill, I'm Alex an alcoholic, 190days ago was a new beggining for me, I finaly admitted and accepted I was powerless over alcohol. A power greater than me is slowly giving me some sanity. With the help of the program and the steps I am able to embrace the past and let go of the past. The past is over today is a new beggining. today I am able to accept the person I am and I am learning to love thwe person I am today.
The sober life is a brand new life and the only life for me today.
Thanks for sharing Bill. ok
With much love your friend in recovery.
Alex
