After almost two years of constant heroin use, my girlfriend and I (I'm 21, her 20) have signed up for a methadone treatment program. What had introduced us and brought us close was getting in the way so we decided to get off heroin.
We IV'd it, which always made us feel close to each other because of our friends, we were the only IV users, so we would go in the bathroom when other friends were over and hang out all night (not always doing drugs mind you haha).
IV'ing also allowed us to keep the habit a long time since we didn't have to use as much at a time as others.
We were sick of having to spend up to $150/day between us though and having to worry about having enough dope to get us through a day to prevent us from getting sick, so we have been going to a methadone clinic now. Going from $150/day to $3/day is amazing. Methadone, eh, its methadone but we get to save so much money instead of putting it into our arms which lets us enjoy other things together.
