One of a Kind?
People suffer greatly whenever they imagine that their embarrassing fantasies and idiosyncrasies are unique. Priests, ministers, rabbis, and counselors who do a lot of listening know that no personal problem is ever unique.
Legions of people struggle with the same problems as you do. Of course, they usually hide that fact, and so you may tend to think that your thoughts and your problems are common only to you. But, considering the billions of people walking with you on the path of life, how could anything you think or do be totally unique?
You know I'm not alone in my problems, Lord, no matter how embarrassing or horrendous they seem. Many people carry burdens similar to mine, and we are all united in the reality of your compassionate love.
