STOP, LOOK, AND LISTEN
The king proclaims the Lord's decree:
"The Lord said to me, 'You are my son.
Today I have become your Father.
Only ask, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance,
the ends of the earth as your possession.
You will break them with an iron rod
and smash them like clay pots."
Now then, you kings, act wisely!
Be warned, you rulers of the earth!
Serve the Lord with reverent fear,
and rejoice with trembling.
Submit to God's royal son,
or he will become angry,
and you will be destroyed in the midst of your pursuits -
for his anger can flare up in an instant.
But what joy for all who find protection in him!
Psalm 2:7-12
Before Jesus Christ walked the earth in human form King David had a vision of being His brother, and a Son of God. That had to be overwhelming to David, the man whom God would call a man after His own heart; a man of many failures. What made the difference in David's life? He saw failures as opportunities to grow. He gave everything to God, including his thought life, and allowed God to turn his woes to wows. Who are we to not do the same?
Take some time this weekend and really look at your circumstances. Has God allowed a woe into your life to make you stop and really seek Him? If you are like me, in retrospect you realize this is true, but your circumstances made you do the opposite. Well, it is never too late to stop, look, and listen.
Stop - be still in His presence by repenting.
Look - focus on Jesus and how He would help you through this personally.
Listen - for a word of knowledge from the Holy Spirit to breathe life into your circumstances.
Once you have done that, make yourself available for someone else going through a hard time. That is turning woes to wows!
Father, I am so happy that you saved me and that I am Your daughter during my stay on this earth. Thank You for the revelation knowledge that when I get to Heaven I will be a joint-heir with Jesus! Help me live with that reality today and everyday!
