I have to make it
by Laila Azer
I watched him from a distance, admiring his persistence. Billy was sitting on the floor with his blocks scattered all around him. He was trying to build the tallest tower he could. Just as he thought he reached the top, all the blocks came tumbling on the floor.
I had given up on that tower building half an hour ago and sat reading in my room. But Billy didn’t give up. He started building it again. The more it fell, the more he insisted on building it and start all over again. He had only one goal in mind “I have to make it; I just have to make it”.
How persistent are you in making your relationship with Jesus work? Do you keep on trying? Or do you give up at the first failure?
Does life with all its problems keep your eyes away from Jesus? Or are you determined to ‘make it’?
He is there waiting for you to...
“… ask, and it will be given to you; seek,
and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”
Luke 11:9-10 (NKJV)
Keep asking, seeking, and knocking, with your eyes on the goal… HIM!
