Thinking of You

i wake in the morning dew
my mind thinks of you
as i kneel down to say hello
before i rush to go
so i know
you will be there throughout my day
for my God you have never stayed away
you lift me from my dismal mood
have always made sure i have food
you brighten my day
in the sunshine i play
my Higher Power
today you make me flower
and i feel when you look at me you smile
for i know i am your child
i am blessed
to have a father of forgiveness
thank you my God for all that i am
all that i will ever be
for i know you have always believed in me
