I know a man, his name is Bob,

He had a friend named Bill.

Together they found a way

To stay away from the still.

For daily living, they devised

The Steps to help us grow.

One Day At A Time,

Our life is on the go.

We admit our powerlessness,

And find who's in charge.

We decide to give to Him,

Then find we're not so large.

We tell Him and someone else

About the things we've done.

We're ready now to give it all,

We find it's not so fun.

We ask Him to remove it all,

We list the ones we've hurt.

It's time to take the fall.

Daily we sweep the dirt.

We talk with the One above,

To find His will for us.

We realize we're standing tall,

Our life is not a bust.

Those two men who started all

Have brought a way of life,

By which we can live today,

In comfort rather than strife.
