By Gods's Grace, I just celebrated 20 years on February 11th, '09, while going through chemo.....NOTHING is a good enough reason to drink or do anything else! My sobriety is too precious, no matter the unpredictable future ahead! Like I am some psychic? Sheesh!

My sponsee who has 1145 days clean is celebrating his 63rd birthday on the 19th. One of his daughters has recently relapsed and is on methadone (tough situation there) and has moved back to our area. I am keeping my prayers out for him that the experiences of so many others in the fellowship are mercifully given to him. A group of our friends go out to watch/listen as he sings jazz at "restaurants". For almost 30 years he was not able to share his gift due to addiction, now he not only shares his gift with others but members of the fellowship show up in support of one another at open mike nights.

BUT only when we are able spirituallyto handle the stress of the environment.
