When You are Weak
"Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me." (2Cor 12:8)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you have a problem that makes you ask, "Lord, why don't You fix this, why don't You take this from me?" I do. Paul the apostle took his trouble to the Lord and pleaded- over and over and over.
"But He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong." (2Cor 12:9-10)
There is nothing wrong with asking the Lord to change things. And He will- but often not the way that we would choose for ourselves. He will teach every one of us that are willing to follow Him that when we are weak, then we are strong in Him. I'm still learning, are you? Let's pray.
Lord, nothing is too hard for You. It is Your good pleasure to give us the kingdom. Help me to bring my trouble before You, and to keep coming to You for answers.
Nothing is too hard for You. You give strength to the weak. You bring us to contentment even in our troubles. Help me to look to You, wait upon You, and trust You today. Amen.
Today's very great and precious promise
Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for Me? (Jer 32:27)
We have God's Word on it.
