A cheerful heart is good medicine.
Proverbs 17:22

When I’m feeling a little depressed, I get out my "Special Feel Good File." It contains a number of items almost guaranteed to raise my spirits. Here are a few of them:
Several cartoons—some I’ve cut out and some I’ve created.
Two laugh-out-loud articles.
Bible verses that attest to God’s love: I John 4, Psalm 103, John 14.
Three letters from friends that make me feel worthwhile.
Valentines from my husband.
There’s more, but you get the picture.
My special file contains anything that forces me to smile or that reminds me I am appreciated. But when I’m really down, I get the most lasting benefit from reading again that God loves me, no matter what, and that nothing can separate me from His love (Romans 8:38-39).
