Living Through Him
God sent His only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him. (from 1 John 4:9)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Doesn't eternity include today? God sent His only Son into the world so that we might live through Him today. It is His joy to grant us the repentance and rest, the quiet and trust to walk with Him.
If (like I do), you find yourself excluding Him from the things you do today; He is quick to grant us repentance and renew our hearts in Him. Let's pray.
Lord Jesus, save me from excluding You from the things that occupy my mind. Help us to look to You in the things we do as we go along. Open my ears to hear You knocking.
Grant me simple repentance and forgive me. Open my heart to humbly live through You today. Amen
Today's very great and precious promise
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with Me. (Rev. 3:20)
We have God's Word on it.
