I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.
Philippians 4:11
When I was young a carload of us traveled one night to hear a colorful preacher, Gypsy Smith, who was holding evangelistic meetings in a nearby town. That night he told of a woman who came up to him after one of his services and said, "Gypsy, I feel the Lord is calling me to preach—if only I didn't have these ten children!"
"Why, that's wonderful, sister," Gypsy replied, "the Lord is calling you to preach, and He's given you your own congregation. Now go home and preach to them!"
That story has served as a little warning signal for me. Whenever I get an attack of the "if onlys"—if only I weren't tied down to the house; if only I had more talent—then I'm reminded to get on with the business of the Lord. He's given me my own "congregation" that nobody else could serve as well.
