View Full Version : Newbie here spinning in my tracks
I hit bottom a few months ago, crawled back home to Oklahoma to start healing. A master at stop/starts, I've finally realized that in order to live, surrender to this beast in the bottle is half of the first step (check). Life is absolutely out of control (check). So here I am, humble...confused...and ready to learn. So, here I go...always forward, never backwards.

:67: mags, :17: Glad to have you join us here. Please make yourself at home. I suggest if you haven't yet to find a AA meeting in your area and go to it. I found AA very helpful in my getting sober and staying sober. We do have online meetings here http://www.cyberrecovery.net/forums/chat_mainpage.php . You can check the meeting times here http://www.cyberrecovery.net/forums/chatmeet.php . We also have an Online Journal forum here http://www.cyberrecovery.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=29 that some use in their everyday recovery and to fellowship with each other. Feel free to ask any questions you may have and to continue to come and share wiht us on the board. We are here for you. :42:
[SIZE="3"][SIZE="4"]Thank you for the suggestions. Nothing can happen overnite after being drunk for so many years. AA meetings started the day after I got here and they seem to be a good group of mostly truly serene folks. Although I've listened carefully to every word, it's the late nights that are the roughest. Nobody is alike, but a hint as to when this haze will lift or begin to?
Plus, I'm new to boards so, forgive if I've posted to the wrong message. Thanks again!
