The Word
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness (2Tim 3:16)

Just as all Scripture is breathed out by God, so also we receive His Word when God breathes it into us by His Spirit and we take it to heart. Jesus said, "He [the Spirit] will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you." (John 14:26)
Christ Jesus opens our minds to understand the Scriptures (see Luke 24:45), so also Jesus said that the Scriptures, "...bear witness about Me..." (John 5:39) He made it clear that the purpose of the Scriptures is to bring us to Him- our Living Lord, so that we would have true life.
That's what makes the Scriptures so very precious. Christian, let's look to the Lord and let His Word take root in our heart. Let's pray.
Lord Jesus, thank You for the Scriptures. Help each one of us look to You- to listen and find rest in Your Spirit as we read Your word.
By Your grace help us stay in Your word- to allow Your Spirit to apply it to our heart and mind. Let me repent when I stumble, and follow You throughout today. Amen.
Today's very great and precious promise
"If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." (John 8:31-32)
We have God's Word on it.
