When God says no, are you able to accept the answer and just let go or do you preceed to do what you want anyway?

Hello,
Well God had said no to me quite a few times and every time i did not listen i got myself in a whole bunch of mess. Not only God but who ever told me no i couldn't have cared less and just decided to do what i wanted just because its what i wanted to do. Thats how i got into such an addictive mess. Now i have learned that if God says no, i had better not or im gonna be in big trouble. Theres a reason He says no and its for our well being and protection. So i have learned to listen and i pray daily that i continue to do so.

I have had God say no but done what I wanted to anyway. He would say no again until eventually I get the message and say ok God I hear you. Like you thereishope I have made a mess when preceeding ahead after God saying no. I am getting better about accepting and hearing when God says no these days. Progress not perfection here. :1:

An oldtimer once told me that God answers all prayers, he just says no more often than yes. Maturity in recovery comes hard for an immature individual like myself. Most times I've said yes to my will and it was not until I suffered the consequences that I realized that I should have listened to God's no.
