Hi! I stumbled into hear looking for support as an ACOA. I survived my own battle with alcoholism and this summer I celebrated 12 years of sobriety! (And I'm only 30)
The good and bad news is it took me 12 years to figure out that it was being the child of an alcoholic that got me to that place. I never connected the dots until my own relationship with my father recently came to an end, at my doing. We no longer talk because I refuse to continue support him in his dysfunctional lifestyle. It hurts too much. So I am here seeking support as an ACOA.
You all seem really nice so thanks for having me.
