Dear Fellow Members,
Interesting item to support is the purple key tags originated in
Maryland and picked up by Wisconsin RSO to celebrate people with long
clean time, "Decades Clean." The reason the newcomer is the most
important person in the room is because they remind us how well and how
quickly the principles work to straighten out our lives. They balance us
and remind us not to quibble over how the miracle unfolds - my opinion!
What do you think?
In Loving Service,
Bo S.

I was in South Dakota when the RDA read the ridiculous arguments raised by Steve Rusch from "Fellowship Services". I specifically told him that the WRSO was not interested in a motion from Region (only input), but someone introduced a motion (I have no idea what it said) and then tabled it for two months. I simply cannot understand how World thinks that it makes any sense for them to say that someone cannot make a product that they don't have in inventory (or have any plans to produce) because it causes "confusion", but they allow that same product (keytags) to be made as lapel pins, in metal or wood, by Convention Committees for their Registration packets, etc. They carry on about what happened to the oldtimer or where they are, but a product which at least acknowledges that they exist cannot be produced. Of course World has shown how savvy they are in this field by producing the 18-month keytag, Miracles Happen, the 20th. Anniversary Edition, the Service Pamphlets, the Sponsorship Book, etc. In fact, the farther that World gets from the idea of Fellowship involvement in the Literature process the worse the products get. So now we have an IP that is so far into the realm of an outside issue (For the Parents or Guardians of...) I am unsure what to do with it, a 6th. Edition Basic Text that is not the version approved at the WRS and which most of the world will not get ( I wonder how World will address the issue of changing a book to the 6th. edition when there were no changes), and an Anniversary Edition to commemorate the 25th year after the writing of the Basic Text (I wonder if they plan to bring one out every five years). Love ya,Gene

Cost is $49.95 and can be ordered, very soon, when available. Expect the
first shipment to come in Monday or Tuesday. We'll work something out.
Sorry to hear about the purple key tags going down. I think it would
make an excellent rallying point for the Fellowship to begin the painful
process of standing up to these guys who think they run NA! The Decades
Clean makes a lot more sense that the silly 18 month key tag, just my
opinion.
