Sober since May 2006 but not sure

I have been sober since May 2006 not becoz I gave birth to twins and thereafter my parents moved in with me to help me with the babies. I avoid places which do have alcohol but sometimes I do feel like a glass , but I made a promise to God that after the birth of twins I was gonna touch alcohol. How do I enjoy myself in the parties without alcohol.

one thing we cant do is do this alonewe cany swear off of alchol and avoid it and expect to stay sober.how many times have we tried that in the past only to fail miserabley.if u are like me the real alcholic get to your local AA group make meetings and get a sponsor.i tried everything to stay sober and in the end it was the steps god bless u on u journey

Sooooooooo Glad You Are Here!!!! You will find that alcohol does not nesessarily provide fun---It has a much darker side---I have never have had as much fun in my life as I have had being sober---Hope you give it a Good chance---You won't be dissappointed!!!
