:29:Welcome gabrielle...aww yes they do get better,i remember asking the very same question, and how long and slow the days were in the begiining...I had to keep it in the day..or even split my days in two...just keep trudging on girl,it really does get better and it will in time be a distant memory, but of course a reminder,of why we dont pick up the first drug etc..really well done, and pat ya self on the back it was a very brave thing youve done. Thus it too shall pass.....nicci :42:

:17:Hello gabrielle4405! Glad you're here! I've found a lot of help here and I too suggest some face to face meetings. Get some phone numbers and share what your feeling with others. It helps me to give voice to what's going on with me and you'll be helping them too. Some keep journals here and I've found writing about what I feeling is a good thing too.

I sometimes still find myself, when in pain, sitting on the couch thinking about how bad I feel, but if I can get up and keep myself (hands) busy time passes more quickly.

Thank you for sharing with us and hope you will continue to!! Keep up the good work, it's very much worth it :1:

Hello Gabrielle and welcome,
For me I began feeling better as I worked the steps. I attended meetings everyday early in my sobriety and talked everyday to someone who had been where I was. They kept me focused on solutions instead of my problems. Seeing their lives improving is where I got my hope and my encouragement. You are in my prayers.

Hello Gabrielle and Welcome :74: Feeling better will come just as the miracle of recovery will sneak up on you as well. As you turn it over and share about it, it will get better a little at a time, hopefully you'll use the tools that you received in rehab to get better. Thanks for sharing.:D

I have another sigggestion, becauese if you are still in withdrawels, it may be too difficult to go to meetings, even dangerous to drive there, when i go through them ( which is all the time because i run out of my meds to soon i have siezures and its to dangerous to drive in that wierd head space you get. If you go see a doc and take suboxone for a month it might help. It has helped my sis tremedisly.
