The Free Choice
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. (John 8:36)

I would like you to meet Trout. He's a talking fish. Amazing... but he tries to live on dry ground.
Gasping for oxygen he complains, "The harder I try, the more frustrated I get. It just kills me, this ground is miserable."
Try and tell him that he would be free in the stream. "No," he insists, "I am free to choose, and you cannot take away my freedom of choice."
It's just a silly story about a dying fish... But Chriatian, aren't we just like a fish out of water when we don't give our lives freely to Christ?
We are free to choose, but only surrendering all and following Jesus brings freedom to our soul. Let's pray.
Lord Jesus, thank you for showing us the way of freedom, and for being the way. Help us today to look to you and to surrender our self determined ways that we would walk in the freedom abiding in you. Amen.
Today's very great and precious promise
For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. (Mat 16:25)
We have God's Word on it.
