She has seen me drunk, she has seen me get sober (over ten years - had other sponsors in between - long story)
Never judged me
Always given me sound advice
Helped me see the lighter side of something that I considered a major issue
I so admire her recovery because she lives life to the full; she embodies everything positive about our program of recovery; she is testament to this program that it works if you work it.
I could say a lot more BUT I think she'd say to me -
she only gives away what has been so freely given to her and at the end of the day she is just another alcoholic staying sober one day at a time.
