I Got Stoned....

We had just parked our car & was walking towards the office & up walks this dude & says "how the Hell are you guys,ya wanna get stoned? Here Man" & he holds out a closed fist & drops a cpl of colorful shiny stones in my hand ,They were SERENITY STONES ..Then the brother gives me a hug .. he's a "hugger" He & my Sponsor know each other & they both have a big laugh ..I was at my 1st big NA event outing this past weekend .. it was Regional NA TAR HALLOW SPIRITAL RETREAT CAMPOUT. .What an awesome experience it was .man , to see something like 500+ ppl come together as brothers & sisters sharing their E,S,& H with one another was amazing .it was meetings all day long & then marathon campfire meetings all night long .. I really dug these .. ppl were able to share . I mean "ReallY share " let down their guard & bare their soul .. those were some special moments I'll never forget ..& WOW!!! & THE CLEAN TIME COUNT DOWN from near 30 yrs to less than a week ..yeah... it was pretty overwhelming ..I'm still pretting high from it lol ..can't wait till next yr!!!

Thanks for sharing. Glad you enjoyed yourself. There's nothing I like better than participating in sober events with my brothers and sisters in the fellowship.

Yeah , NA definately Rocks!!! . & yeah, CD those stones do make me think . hell even my sponsor asked me on the 2nd morning if I had been stoned yet & when I said "no" he gave me some & gave me a hug ..he was on the welcomeing comittee also..I understand now that getting stoned came with a hug & welcomed me to the fellowship.. the big NA family .. "welcome home"" . meant I never had to be alone ever again . no more of that isolation . degragation desperation, despair , that comes with the old way of getting stoned .. means I'm "apart of" instead of "apart from" ..& I like this awhole lot better ...man, the theme of the weekend was Spiritual Awakening, I believe I witnessed that 1st hand . ... I'll never forget this past weekend !!!

no didnt make to that ..di see lots of ppl wearing the t-stirt , sponsor told me about it . said it was started out . as a small gathering .& they got a good bargain on imperfect hotdogs from 1 of the local hotdog making bussinesses to use for their brb-Q .& I guess it's turned into a pretty big yearly thing..maybe I make it to one sometime . I really enjoyed the TARHALLOW campout & plan on going to that every year . & looking into more of the smaller campouts & pigroasts ..
