Devastating Triumph

Where have we gone in the pathway of life
trying to remember is a continuous fight
So much time we have spent in a world of fiction
guilt and sorrow the land of addiction
Alone we were looking for all of the action
escaping reality seemed like true satisfaction
Endless struggles to cop on that fix
getting high running out and now turning tricks
By the grace of god we came to believe
we have a true problem a fatal disease
No longer will we beat ourselves down
no longer will we be on the bad side of town
Serenity and sobriety go hand & hand
we feel this today from a 12 step plan
Today we are living on all of lives terms
but don't put your guard down or the disease will return!!!!!!!!!!
