:17:10-16-08 my 18th month A.A. Birthday,
One day at time,Keep it simple, and put one foot in front of the other.Don`t drink "NO MATTER WHAT"!!!! Bill & Bob Quote. After all these year since 1935 WE have all stayed SOBER TOGETHER.I did.I could not do it alone.
Back in 4-16-2007 that is when I throw away 12 pack beer in the trash in front of my wife, but she didn`t think I would stop drinking.Like all members A.A. said stop drinking not going to bring your wife back ,dog to stop wetting themself when you enter the house, and the state mistruth well level out.Letting Go & Letting GOD.Working on myself, knowing myself & loving myself.Walking with GOD in finding new relationship daily.GOD has showed HIM in different times. The fear on first day of recovery A.A. showed what all members had "PEACE of MIND".Members were Happy, Joyous and Free.Level honesty 95% happy We are not perfect. In recovery doesn`t stop life keeps going.but A.A. showed me how to handle every situation that 18 months ago would have me drinking.Blame them for my problems. Now I `am at right place sober stepping in alot crap, wipe my feet on the other side and move forward.Thank You Alcoholics Anonymous. It Works!! When We WORK IT!!!!:D

A huge congratulations on 18 months!
I don't know what it is, but I have always thought of the 6 month mark into the year as a very important one... maybe it has to do with passing the mid-point of one whole year, PLUS... we have a good opportunity to look back at the previous 6 months & see how far we have come.

I can relate to throwing out the booze & having my spouse not really believing that I had made a lifetime commitment. For me, it was pouring 5 gallons of wine down the drain. I still have a mental picture of that, and in some way it bookmarked a moment in my life that would change everything to come.

Congratulations again.... well done! :1:
