Count on God's constant help.

If we cannot pray, just talk to God and tell Him our troubles.

Confession to God always brings cleansing from God.

If we are worried we should pray, if we pray, why worry?

Never, never, never give up on anyone; God doesn't.

God has a master plan by which to work, a goal for each of us. We are to be transformed into Christ's likeness.

God requires our cooperation to achieve that transformation. Yet God is gracious and patient with us. The result glorifies God, blesses others, and makes us eternally grateful.

When we step outside of our routine to serve others, we see God in new ways.

Where we see junk, God sees a masterpiece-to-be.

Living Peaceably with All Men
If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Romans 12:18
Unless we choose to cut ourselves off from all humanity, we must interact with other people. Our families call for our attention. Our friends desire visits. We also deal with people we don't even know. A stranger pumps our gas or bags our groceries. Sometimes we even have to interact with our enemies.
Whenever we relate with people, the possibility of strife exists. A misspoken word or a hasty comment can lead to argument. Sometimes a difference of opinion can lead to war, where thousands lose their lives.
In the above verse, God calls us to live peaceably with all men. Not just some, but all men. Not just our family. Not just our friends. We are to live peaceably with the man we meet on the street. With those who speak against us. Even with those who proclaim themselves as our enemies.
We must strive to do this with all that lies within us. Often we give half-hearted attempts at living peaceably with others. We may do okay for a while, but when the other person "crosses the line," out come the clenched fists or angry words. We give way to our weak flesh. But if we're Christians, we have the Spirit of God within us. And by His Spirit we can live peaceably with all men.
Notice that Paul also says, ... "if it be possible." Some may say, "There's my way out of this. I can't possibly live peaceably with this particular person." However, in Philippians 4:13, Paul said, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Whose strength are we relying on? Through Christ's strength, we can live peaceably with all men.
Jesus said, "Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God" (Matthew 5:9). --Jason Mitchener

In this hurry~scurry world in which we live, there are times we become frustrated, anxious and even short~tempered (forgive us please, dear abba) . . . it is then we realize once again the POWER OF PRAYER!!! The KNOWING that all things DO work together for good for those who are the called of the Lord. We realize it is in depending upon thee and yielding our everything unto thee that we become FREE !!!
Thank you, sweet Father, for ALL you do for us. For loving us, for hiding us beneath your shadow so that no harm shall befall us. Thank you for giving your angels charge over us and keeping us in all our ways. Bless your name !!!
Now, as we are in your presence, sweet Father, we praise and thank you for our Saviour and Lord, JESUS CHRIST, without whom we would have no hope. Jesus gave his ALL that we would be reconciled to you, Father. HOW we thank you for making all of this possible. Our lives would be shipwrecked if not for JESUS ~ PRAISE HIS NAME !!!

Bullies From The Past
Ezra 9:8 - And now for a little while grace has been shown from the Lord our God to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a peg in His holy place, that our God may enlighten our eyes and give us a measure of revival in our bondage. (NKJV)
I recently attended a retreat at which I was blessed to be a part of the ministry team for the event. As people were coming forward for prayer, I recognized two of the ladies. It took me a few minutes to realize where I knew them from. Then it dawned on me: I had gone to high school with them. They did not seem to recognize me. The reason I had recognized them, I believe, was that I had been afraid of them. They were known throughout the high school as bullies. What was most amazing to me in seeing them again was their size: they were certainly not large in size. In fact, they were only about four feet tall and certainly not built as one would expect a bully to be. I am not sure what relationship they had with the Lord back then, but given the event that I recently attended, I feel assured that they have a relationship with the Lord now and have turned from their past ways.
This got me thinking that even before I knew the Lord, there were things in my past that were like giants to me. I know, too, that I was a giant in other people's lives, on account of my sinful past and actions.
If God reached down and touched my life, He also is able to reach down and touch the lives of others.
In times and situations like these, I reflect, and allow the Lord to show me what He wants me to see from past events in my life -- now that I have been brought in awe back to the Lord and His love, grace, and mercy.
Romans 11:33 - Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! (NKJV)
Prayer: Dear Lord, at times we seem to forget our sinful past. Help us to remember those times as occasions for Your forgiveness and grace in our lives. Help us to be able to extend this to others from our past, and also to others in the future. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen. --Julie Bowles

How to Overcome Discouragement by Rick Warren
Then the people of Judah said, “The work crews are worn out, and there is too much rubble. We can’t continue to rebuild the wall.” Nehemiah 4:10 (GWT)
Discouragement is curable. Whenever I get discouraged, I head straight to Nehemiah. This great leader of ancient Israel understood there were four reasons for discouragement.
First, you get fatigued. You simply get tired as the laborers did in Nehemiah 4:10. We’re human beings and we wear out. You cannot burn the candle at both ends. So if you’re discouraged, it may be you don’t have to change anything. You just need a vacation! Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is go to bed.
Second, you get frustrated. Nehemiah says there was rubble all around, so much that it was getting in the way of rebuilding the wall. Do you have rubble in your life? Have you noticed that anytime you start doing something new, the trash starts piling up?
If you don’t clean it out periodically, it’s going to stop your progress. You can’t avoid it, so you need to learn to recognize it and dispose of it quickly so you don’t lose focus on your original intention.
What is the rubble in your life? I think rubble is the trivial things that waste your time and energy and prevent you from accomplishing what God has called you to do.
Third, you think you’ve failed. Nehemiah’s people were unable to finish their task as quickly as originally planned and, as a result, their confidence collapsed. They were thinking, “We were stupid to think we could ever rebuild this wall.”
But you know what I do when I don’t reach a goal on time? I just set a new goal. I don’t give up. Everybody fails. Everybody does dumb things. So the issue is not that you failed – it’s how you respond to your failure.
Do you give in to self-pity? Do you start blaming other people? Do you start complaining that it’s impossible? Or, do you refocus on God’s intentions and start moving again?
Finally, when you give in to fear, you get discouraged. Nehemiah 4 suggests the people most affected by fear are those who hang around negative people. If you’re going to control the negative thoughts in your life, you’ve got to get away from negative people as much as you can.
Maybe you’re discouraged because of fear. You’re dealing with fears like, “I can’t handle this. It’s too much responsibility.” Maybe it’s the fear that you don’t deserve it. It’s the fear of criticism. Fear will destroy your life if you let it. But you can choose to resist the discouragement. Say, “God help me get my eyes off the problem – off the circumstance – and keep my eyes on you.”

The Bridge
Bridges are common in most cities and are really quite amazing. Most are beautifully constructed and quite durable. They span across an area and provide passage to a place that would be difficult or impossible to cross. They connect two parts that would otherwise never be joined. They create a safe haven over treacherous terrain, raging currents, and impassable canyons. Although they are considered essential for easy travel, bridges are typically taken for granted until they are out of service or impassable.
Jesus Christ is The Bridge. He is the way and the connection to the Father. He bridges the chasm caused by sin. He is awesome, beautiful, and everlasting. Jesus is a safe haven from the dangerous waves of life. He lifts you up away from trouble and protects you from the hazard of the world’s terrain. Jesus keeps you tucked away safely out of harm’s way above the chaos and empty spaces of life. From there, the view is breathtaking. The Bridge is offered to all as a gift. No toll is required because Jesus paid the price once and for all. Still, some choose other paths and avoid The Bridge. They prefer to travel through life by way of their own roads and short cuts and are blind to the truth of Jesus Christ. Keep them in your prayers. God desires to have as many come to Him through The Bridge as possible - before it is too late.
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6 --Weekly Daily Journey

Make the World Go Away
My grandmother passed away in her 90’s and never thought of herself as old. Even at that age, she would sing for “the old people” and, of course, at every family event. Her favorite song to sing was “Make the World Go Away”. I believed, at the time, that she was singing the song as sort of a love song. I thought it was a chance for her to reflect on love lost or the loss of her love. Now, I wonder if I didn’t have it all wrong. I wonder if she was really singing to God and just wanted Him to make the world go away. Perhaps she had reached an age where she wanted to leave the world and go to be with Jesus, or perhaps she knew that the world gets in the way of Jesus.
Recently, you may find that you are struggling against the pull of the world. The world may be luring you and keeping you from Christ. It dangles detractions and gadgets at you that take up your attention, energy, and time. The world has such intrigue and hype. It draws you with sensationalism and drama through the constant barrage of news and real life drama. You feel you have to know what is happening. You think about, and talk about, what will happen. Will things get worse? Will you be drawn into the chaos as the world spins out of control? How in the world will you survive? In the 60’s there was a play and movie, “Stop the World, I want To Get Off”. That may be exactly how you feel as you witness the current state of the world. Well, you can make the world go away and leave its spinning frenzy when you take your focus off of it and set your sights on Jesus. He is in control and has a perfect plan for the world. This world is fallen and it is temporary. God has promised a new earth where He will live among His people and where there will be an end to death, sorrow, crying, and pain. Focus your time, energy, and attention on God and on His promise for a new world and make your focus and loyalty to the present world go away.
“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." Revelation 21:1-4 --Weekly Daily Journey

So go ahead and wear that communication Responder upon your face and watch doors open.
Your Story Starts At Home - Sometimes you’ll find plaques to hang on the wall with this saying. It’s few words make a huge comprehension on our hearts. Everyone is given gifts with in their life to do something that only they can do upon this earth. When you seek and find that thing which you do best and allow it to become the thing you do most, you have defined that spot where your uniqueness defines your path way in life. God created you for a divine purpose and his good pleasure. Your story starts at home and you are the one and only created to play out your story because you know the part the best.

Small Straws In A Soft Wind by Marsha Burns
I am doing a very present work of regeneration. Old things will indeed come to pass and new things will come forth. The key word for this time is resurrection power, for you will have unprecedented opportunities to be resurrected into greater spiritual life. Your dependence on the world and world systems will be challenged and give way to the supernatural vitality of the Eternal Spirit. Do not be afraid of that which is yet to be revealed; you are the apple of My eye, and I am your strong tower that you can run to and be safe, says the Lord. Proverbs 29:25 The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD shall be safe.

I will guide you through this time and cause you to make adjustments that will clear out the remains of what has been broken or become useless to you. I speak of things both natural and spiritual. This debris must be removed before you can regroup and rebuild. The pressure of your circumstances will in many cases be an indicator that will point you in the right direction, says the Lord. Jeremiah 31:28 "And it shall come to pass, that as I have watched over them to pluck up, to break down, to throw down, to destroy, and to afflict, so I will watch over them to build and to plant, says the LORD."

Make a concerted effort to turn your focus from politics, economy and world events to seek My face, says the Lord. All of these concerns will steal your joy and peace. Do you not know that I alone am in charge of your world? And, I will bring to pass everything that is necessary to establish My kingdom in the earth. My government and authority are above all that you can conceive of in the natural realm. So, I say, shift your focus upward and trust that My order is being established.
Isaiah 55:9 "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts."

"The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from or where it goes.
So is everyone who is born of the Spirit." John 3:8

Just as "The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from or where it goes (John 3:8), so shall the moving of My Spirit bring things to your attention that will cause you to examine what you see through spiritual eyes with supernatural discernment and understanding. You cannot take anything at face value, for what you see with your natural eyes and hear with your natural ears is only the tip of the iceberg. What you cannot see is deeper and wider than you can fathom (comprehend) or imagine, says the Lord.

Beloved, you have been laboring under an undefined sense of oppression for some time and have not been able to overcome. But, now you will be able to begin to see the light dawn where darkness has prevailed. You have turned the proverbial corner where hope will replace gloom and despair. Hold on to these first rays of spiritual light, and resist the devil's attempts to pull you back into the realm of hopelessness, says the Lord. 1 Peter 1:13 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ

Consider carefully the decisions you make at this time, for they will undoubtedly produce long-term consequences. Quiet your own soul, your mind and emotions, and allow your spirit to be influenced by My Spirit, says the Lord. If you will be sensitive to that still, small voice of wisdom, you will be directed to choose what is best for you and those around you. But, you must be still in order to perceive the influence of My Spirit. Isaiah 30:21 Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in it," whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.

Be slow to form judgments about people and circumstances, and be generous in your evaluations by always giving the benefit of the doubt. It is the function of pride to think you know the heart and motives of an individual and then forming an opinion based on your assumptions. Beloved, I have called you to make righteous judgments, which can only be accomplished when you live and move and have your being in My Spirit, says the Lord. 1 Corinthians 2:11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

I know those who belong to Me, says the Lord. I know your going out and your coming in, your rising up and your sitting down. I know your thoughts and your ways. And, even in times of extreme peril and trouble, I will deliver you from the powers of destruction. I am your port in the storm. Run to Me and be safe. Do not be afraid, for I am with you to protect you and to surround you with mercy, favor, and grace. Psalm 91:1-11 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust." Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, and see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.

The Trumpet by Bill Burns
"Set the trumpet to your mouth!" Hosea 8:1
If you can receive it, says the Lord, this is a time of new beginnings, a time that you will one day look back upon and rejoice in. As you enter into this season of advancement and acquisition, you shall look back and say, "And the Lord did that for me in that time; He provided for me in that time; the Lord healed me in that time; it was the Lord who brought me up into the heavenly places." For, it is My Spirit that shall come and teach you and lead you in the way of revelation and bring you forth into the flow of spiritual life. In you I have hidden a treasure, which is still there, but when the living water of the Spirit begins to flow forth out of your innermost being, it will bring that treasure to light and to your understanding. Then, you will embrace that which I am doing and the new thing that I am doing in this season will come forth. Believe what I say to you, for it is time for you to arise to a new level, and it is time for you to arise to the spiritual habitation that I have prepared for you. The fullness of what I have prepared shall be known and received.

GOD'S LOVIN' EYES
Way too many roadblocks
spoiled my mood that day;
Musta got up on wrong side of
bed . . .so I'd heard old~timers say.
Murphy's Law was workin' overtime,
grumpy was my middle name;
Somethin' unexpected happen'd 'n
I'll just never be the same.
My head was bowed with troubles.
I was steady lookin' down;
Of a sudden there they were lookin'
up at me . . . just layin' on the ground.
Caught up short they stopped me
cold in my tracks . . . much to my surprise,
breath~takin' I stared
right into GOD'S LOVIN' EYES!
A butterfly had shed its wings
on its way to God knows where;
Father used 'em to get my attention,
ahhh, yes He did I do declare.
'N He whisper'd to my heart
in a very special way;
"See how near to you I am, son,
listen to what I say!".
"In all of your frustrations
I am here right by your side;
And there is nothing you could need
that my hands will not provide".
Cast all your care upon Jesus
do not bear them all alone;
He is closer than a brother,
all your sins He did atone".
Now if you're havin' any doubts
I'll prove ta you my story's true;
I've a picture of GOD'S LOVIN' EYES
I will gladly share with you:-)
Dedicated to our precious son,
David Carter Mizrany ~ Nashville, TN
who told me this story of God's Lovin' Eyes
and sent me the picture to prove it :-)

"WHO AM I ?"
'Who am I ' that you should love me,
Much less give your life for me?
I'm just a lowly sinner
Undeserving of Calvary.
'Who am I' that you should wash me
In the Lambs' precious blood;
Or even show such mercy
When I've done nothing good?
'Who am I' that you should desire me
Or call me the apple of your eye?
I see no beauty in me;
The truth I can't deny.
'Who am I' that you should bless me
Above all creatures great and small?
Unmerited gifts you give me.
I don't understand at all.
'Who am I' that you should heal me
When in my sickness I call your name?
You bore the stripes for my healing
And for my sin you took the blame.
'Who am I' that you should deliver me
From the trouble I get in;
Or from those who seek to hurt me,
Or from the wars that rage within?
'Who am I' that you should defend me
When I stand before the throne;
There to give an account of
The things that I have done?
'Who am I' that you should seek me
When I have gone astray,
Leaving the other ninety and nine
To bring me back into the way.
'Who am I' that you should trust me
And give me liberty?
After all the mistakes I've made,
Why should you favor me?
'Who am I' that you should save me
From the grave, death, and hell?
You're the key to life eternal
I know the story well.
'Who am I' that you should refine me
Like gold tried in the fire,
Casting off impurities
Making you my hearts desire?
'Who am I' that you should answer
When I question your reason why?
Yet with understanding you smile,
Shake your head, and sigh.
'Who am I' that you should chasten me
When I disobey your commands?
Weeping endures for a night,
But in the morning with joy, I understand.
'Who am I' that you should give faith to me As you give each one a
measure?
You smile and answer tenderly,
"Child, you're my priceless treasure!"

As those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, bearing with one other and forgiving one other even as the Lord forgave you; and above all these things, put on love, which is the bond of perfection. Colossians 3:12-14

Everyone should be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. James 1:19-20

Warnings From Israel's History
1For I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact, brothers, that our forefathers were all under the cloud and that they all passed through the sea. 2They were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea. 3They all ate the same spiritual food 4and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ. 5Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them; their bodies were scattered over the desert. 6Now these things occurred as examples to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things as they did. 7Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written: "The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in pagan revelry." 8We should not commit sexual immorality, as some of them did—and in one day twenty-three thousand of them died. 9We should not test the Lord, as some of them did—and were killed by snakes. 10And do not grumble, as some of them did—and were killed by the destroying angel. 11These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the fulfillment of the ages has come. 12So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall! 13No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. 1 Corinthians 10:1-12

6Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 8Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. 10And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 11To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 5:6-11

Love for Enemies
43"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' 44But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Matthew 5:43-48

He who forms the mountains, creates the wind, and reveals his thoughts to man, he who turns dawn to darkness, and treads the high places of the earth—the LORD God Almighty is his name. Amos 4:13

17I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. 18For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people. 19Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I am full of joy over you; but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil. 20The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you. Romans 16:17-20

When Others Might Slumber On -- We Are Called To Be "On Call"
As I have lived for over a decade within blocks of a fire station that serves a major urban area, I am accustomed to the sirens whizzing by day and night. I quickly learned to block out their warning sounds during the day, even with an open window. In the middle of the night, I am no longer startled from my sleep as fire trucks and ambulances whiz by below me. Unless a fire alarm sounds in my building, sending the fire trucks to my front door, I remain blissfully asleep in the safety of my cozy bed. Often, when the alarms have sounded in my building of over 200 suites, the firefighters have outnumbered the small percentage of sleepy residents who have bothered to make their way down to the building's lobby.
In contrast, firefighters and paramedics stand ready to jump into action at the first ring of an alarm. Even after falling exhausted into their beds at the fire station after a long day on call, these brave men and women ignore the impulse to turn over and pull the covers over their heads as those alarms sound. Instead of reaching for their earplugs and willing themselves back to pleasant dreams and slumber - they reach for their safety gear. They hold no presumptions that 'someone else' will answer the call if they do not feel like answering that particular day. Having family members and close friends who have served as firefighters, I know that every time they head out in their trucks in the wee small hours of the morning, they are keenly aware that they might never return. Although not all calls are life and death situations, even the simplest of calls can potentially keep them away from their much-needed sleep for several hours.
Firefighters, paramedics and frontline police officers are expected to keep their bodies and minds physically fit at all times through proper diet, exercise and rest. They drill constantly to sharpen their skills and they ready their equipment and vehicles in spotless working order. Each paramedic knows the inside of their ambulance so well that they can find the smallest of instruments in the dark. Every hose, nozzle and coupling is regularly inspected at every station. Police officers regularly attend target practice, even though every police officer hopes and prays that they will never have to fire their weapons in the line of duty. Family and friends of emergency workers quickly learn that a sacrifice is required on their part as well. Family dinners may be interrupted, late nights out are not always possible.
When on call, firefighters and paramedics spend long hours, even days, in their halls waiting for an alarm. As they wait, they go about their daily tasks, cooking communal meals, cleaning their stations and equipment, joking with their fellow crewmembers and perhaps even watching a football game or two. Most halls have fitness equipment and study areas so they can make the most of those quieter moments. Nevertheless, when the alarm is sounded, everything is dropped. Half-eaten plates of food are left on the table, the oven is turned off, even if a cake might be in the oven; the last quarter of the Super Bowl is ignored. There is no time left for last minute reviews of procedural manuals and there is definitely no time left to build muscle strength. If they weren't prepared long before the sudden call, then they are doomed to fail - risking not only their lives but also the lives of their crew and the lives of those who so desperately need them.
In these uncertain times, I believe we as believers have been served notice that we are 'on call'. Although the Lord does not wish us to be in a heightened state of anxiety and fear, he does call us to be alert and ready. It is his desire that we go about our everyday lives; working, playing, raising families, fellowshipping with friends, but he reminds us that we are called into action at anytime. He has given us ample warning and has provided us with all we need to develop the spiritual stamina, strength and skills to do the task ahead of us. He asks us to take hold of his provision - to study the word, to surround ourselves with wholesome and healthy nourishment for our spirits. He calls us to abstain from the things of the world that could cloud our perception and dull our ears from hearing his call and instantly obeying that call, even when our flesh might want to rebel.
Many in our world would rather snuggle into their beds and pull the covers over their heads; hoping they can dream and wish away all their problems. We as believers have the awesome knowledge that if we stay alert and choose not to slumber, we can be positive influences and catalysts for God's redemption in the lives of those who so desperately need his saving power. --2008 Katherine Walden

Grant Us Your Salvation
Show us your mercy, O Lord;
And grant us your salvation.
Clothe your ministers with righteousness;
Let your people sing with joy.
Give peace, O Lord, in all the world;
For only in you can we live in safety.
Lord, keep us under your care;
And guide us in the way of justice and truth.
Let your way be known upon earth;
Your saving health among all.
Let not the needy, O Lord, be forgotten;
Nor the hope of the poor be taken away.
Create in us clean hearts, O God;
And sustain us by your Holy Spirit.

Read Through The Bible
Leviticus 15
Discharges Causing Uncleanness
1 The LORD said to Moses and Aaron, 2 "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'When any man has a bodily discharge, the discharge is unclean. 3 Whether it continues flowing from his body or is blocked, it will make him unclean. This is how his discharge will bring about uncleanness: 4 " 'Any bed the man with a discharge lies on will be unclean, and anything he sits on will be unclean. 5 Anyone who touches his bed must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. 6 Whoever sits on anything that the man with a discharge sat on must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. 7 " 'Whoever touches the man who has a discharge must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. 8 " 'If the man with the discharge spits on someone who is clean, that person must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. 9 " 'Everything the man sits on when riding will be unclean, 10 and whoever touches any of the things that were under him will be unclean till evening; whoever picks up those things must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. 11 " 'Anyone the man with a discharge touches without rinsing his hands with water must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. 12 " 'A clay pot that the man touches must be broken, and any wooden article is to be rinsed with water. 13 " 'When a man is cleansed from his discharge, he is to count off seven days for his ceremonial cleansing; he must wash his clothes and bathe himself with fresh water, and he will be clean. 14 On the eighth day he must take two doves or two young pigeons and come before the LORD to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and give them to the priest. 15 The priest is to sacrifice them, the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering. In this way he will make atonement before the LORD for the man because of his discharge. 16 " 'When a man has an emission of semen, he must bathe his whole body with water, and he will be unclean till evening. 17 Any clothing or leather that has semen on it must be washed with water, and it will be unclean till evening. 18 When a man lies with a woman and there is an emission of semen, both must bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening. 19 " 'When a woman has her regular flow of blood, the impurity of her monthly period will last seven days, and anyone who touches her will be unclean till evening. 20 " 'Anything she lies on during her period will be unclean, and anything she sits on will be unclean. 21 Whoever touches her bed must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. 22 Whoever touches anything she sits on must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. 23 Whether it is the bed or anything she was sitting on, when anyone touches it, he will be unclean till evening. 24 " 'If a man lies with her and her monthly flow touches him, he will be unclean for seven days; any bed he lies on will be unclean. 25 " 'When a woman has a discharge of blood for many days at a time other than her monthly period or has a discharge that continues beyond her period, she will be unclean as long as she has the discharge, just as in the days of her period. 26 Any bed she lies on while her discharge continues will be unclean, as is her bed during her monthly period, and anything she sits on will be unclean, as during her period. 27 Whoever touches them will be unclean; he must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. 28 " 'When she is cleansed from her discharge, she must count off seven days, and after that she will be ceremonially clean. 29 On the eighth day she must take two doves or two young pigeons and bring them to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. 30 The priest is to sacrifice one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering. In this way he will make atonement for her before the LORD for the uncleanness of her discharge. 31 " 'You must keep the Israelites separate from things that make them unclean, so they will not die in their uncleanness for defiling my dwelling place, which is among them.' "
32 These are the regulations for a man with a discharge, for anyone made unclean by an emission of semen, 33 for a woman in her monthly period, for a man or a woman with a discharge, and for a man who lies with a woman who is ceremonially unclean.

God of ages, in your sight we rise and fall, and pass through times of peril. Now when we are troubled, be near to judge and save. May we be led by your wisdom; may we search your will and see it clearly. If we have turned from your way, help us to reverse our ways and repent. Give us your light and your truth to guide us; through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of this world, and our Savior. Amen.

Lord, Grant me the grace to live in the realization that I have been called to serve others and not myself. I ask for a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience in the way I relate to other people. Since I have been chosen and beloved by You, the living God, may I demonstrate love and kindness to others. Amen.
