Almost a month sober

Hi, I'm Gretchen and I'm an alcoholic.
I'm trying to save myself and my family from my drinking. Still struggling though with my will versus my Higher Power's. When I want to drink, I really want to drink, and don't have much reasoning about it.
Very scared of myself, and my evil ways.

Hi Gretchen...Glad you found your way into our forums. Almost 30 days! that's huge. Your right where your supposed to be. Especially reguarding reaching out for help. If your not connected with an AA group, I would suggest you find one if it's avaliable to you. Coime back here, express your fears and desires...Were all in this thing together...It does get better...Your Friend...Mike

Thanks Mike. I have been going to my AA meetings and I have a sponsor. I am beginning my 4th step, but very fearful of that next drink.

Hey Gretchen...Good Deal...I'm doing a final on my 3rd tonight w/my sponsor. Not a final exam, but going to discuss some things. We will begin journey with 4 this evening! Looking forward to the continued healing...Your Friend in Recovery...Mike
