Dear Heavenly Father, I praise You and thank You for all the friends You have given me. What a wonderful blessing! Lord, I also want to thank You for every brother and sister in the great big family of God throughout the whole world. It is such a blessing to get to meet and fellowship with so many of them and to know them by the spirit. And Lord, I look forward to the day that I will get to meet many others, as I know when we get to heaven, I will get to see them face to face there. It is wonderful to be a member of the family of God and to know that we are all going to be blessed and enjoy one another's company throughout eternity. Thank You, Lord! In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Dear Lord God, You never said that life would be easy, but You did say that if we would believe in You, and commit our ways to Your way, that we could trust You, and that Your will would never take us beyond where Your grace could sustain us! Help us, Lord, to realize that You loved us enough to send Your Son, both as an example and as a sacrifice for our sins. ... Open our eyes to see that today, when we take a stand with You and find society often quick to criticize and put us down, that it is then that we discover Your strength! Just as You told Your apostle Paul, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in [your] weakness."* ... Forgive me Lord, for doubting that You care. Thank You Lord, for Your Holy Spirit's communication line, just as Your Son promised. Help me to always keep the line open, not just in times of need, but to continually praise You and thank You for Your care and Your blessings.
In Jesus' name I pray this prayer.
Amen.

A Clean Mouth
Ephesians 5:3-4
Dear Father,
Keep me from talking about or thinking about illicit sex and pornography and covetousness, since you require that your holy people avoid referring to these things.
Keep me from filthy stories, silly or flippant talk, and any other kind of conversation not fitting for one who follows you.
Instead, let my mouth be filled with - thanksgiving!
In the name of Jesus I ask for the purity of mind and spirit that was in him. And I give you thanks. Amen.
