I'm an adult child of an alcoholic/drug addict. My mother has finally realized she has a serious problem and has asked for help. I know this will be a long, slow and difficult process but at least she has taken the first step and I want to be able to help her.
Ending her addictions is literally a matter of life and death for her. She has Hep C from intranasal cocaine use and from a combination of the Hep C and binge drinking has cirrhosis.
If she can successfully recover from her addictions she has a good prognosis.
I'm looking forward to connecting with others in similar situations and getting some advice!
