I need help... I dont know if this is the right group for me or not??? I am at the point that I WANT to quit but have not. So I dont want to say somthing to hinder you all that have!! I am 34 with two boys one mine, one is step son that we have had since he was 13? months.. sorry long story on not sure of exact months. I have a wonderful husband, but he has a drinking problem. I did not until a couple years ago when we got married. However before my parents died they both did and my only brother that is still alive does too. So, I should have known better, I kept telling myself I would not let it go this far. But it has, I am really close to loosing everything and keep promising myself the kids and my husband that I will QUIT.. but never seem to make it passed 2 days.... If this is not the right group can someone please tell what is??? Sorry and THANKS Hope

Hello and Welcome H. Lemke :325::247: You are in the right place and I too came to AA because I wanted to stop and I was loseing my job and my wife and my kids and most of all my mind. I could not belive that I had a drinking problem. Then like you I reached out for help and the miracle started to happen. Today I don't drink, my wife loves me, my children have a relationship with there father, and I'm not a askhole at my job. All because I started the same way you did. Asking for help. :42:
