Prayer for Hearing God's Word
Father, I'm praying for (name one or more) and others in my circle of family and friends who need Christ...
You are the God who gives life to the spiritually dead. (Romans 4:17b)
I thank You that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. But Scripture asks, How can these I'm praying for call on Jesus if they have not believed in Him? And how can they believe in Him if they've not heard about Him? And how can they hear without someone bringing the truth to them? And how can they hear unless that person is sent? (Romans 10:13–15a)
I ask You to send someone into each of their lives, someone with the message of life, the Word of Christ—for Your Word does not return empty; it accomplishes what You desire and achieves the purpose for which it is sent. (Romans 10:17; Isaiah 55:11)
May they hear the words of Christ, for His words are spirit and they are life. May the words that they hear not be stolen from their hearts. ( John 6:63; Luke 8:12)
Send someone they can respect to bring them the truth. In Jesus' name, amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, I am grateful that You came to deliver us from fear and terror. Fear produces torment and You said in Your Word that if we served You, we would be far from terror. Lord, deliver me from those things that produce fear, like fretting and worry, and vain imaginings. Forgive me when I yield to fear and help me to remember Your promises and to have faith in You. You said that You would never forsake me, nor ever leave me. Help me to remember I am not alone when I face any crisis. May I always remember there is victory over every wicked attack against me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Dear Lord, one morning after studying Your Word I prayed and asked for the Holy Spirit's guidance for my day, and for my life. ... Usually, I am in a hurry, and I do not often wait for Your answers. But that morning I waited, and then these words came to me: "Accept each day's challenges! Remember that I have promised to be with you always! Trust Me! I am closer than a cell phone away!" ... Oh Lord, if I step out in faith and trust You, You will be with me, ready to guide and help and strengthen me. ... Your answer may not be just what I had in mind, but remind me that You see the bigger picture - You know what I need. ... Help me, Lord, to recognize my blessings, and to thank You each day. ... You are trustworthy; help me to be that way too!
In Jesus' name we pray.
Amen.

Equipped for Battle
Ephesians 6:11-13
Dear Father, warrior against all evil,
May I put on the full array of battle gear that you supply that I may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil, the commander-in-chief of all evil spirits.
Help me understand that our warfare is not just against flesh and blood, against mere men. It is against the principalities, the powers, the rulers of this present darkness, against the spiritual armies of wickedness in the heavenly places. It is there that they do battle against my soul, against you and your Son, against the heavenly armies, and against all your holy people.
Therefore let me take up all the equipment which you have given me, that I may be able to withstand Satan's hordes in the evil day, and having done everything you want me to do, to stand!
In the name of Jesus, the forger of our armor, I pray. Amen.
